Prices

Prices on our website are shown in British pounds. They are correct for items which we have in stock, but are subject to change for items which are not in stock. This is because publishers and suppliers may change their prices without notice, and because of currency exchange rate fluctuations.

We are happy to accept payment in US dollars or Euros. If you pay by credit card, you will be charged by your credit card company in your local currency.

Tax

Value Added Tax (VAT) is not payable on books, but is applied at 17.5% to DVDs, videos, software and other non-book material.

VAT will be applied to the delivery charge only if the consignment consists entirely of taxable items, such as DVDs.

VAT is only charged to UK customers, and to EU customers not registered for VAT in their own countries. There is no tax chargeable to customers outside the European Union.

Discounts

We offer a 10% discount on single orders of over 500 British pounds (before any VAT). Libraries and institutions may be eligible for a discount on all purchases. Orders for software licences and magazine/newspaper subscriptions are not eligible for discount.

Payment

We accept payment by Visa/Mastercard, cheque in British pounds, US dollars or Euros, or by transfer to our UK bank account. Transfers should be net of bank charges.

Credit terms

Credit terms are available to educational and other institutions and to registered companies. They are 30 days from invoice date for UK accounts, 60 days for other countries in Europe, and 90 days for the rest of the world. Itemised invoices are provided.
